What are VCAT appeals?
If a council refuses your application or includes proposed conditions that you do not agree to, you may lodge a VCAT appeal.
Objectors and VCAT
There may be some circumstances that objectors may also take matters to VCAT. However, Easton Consulting does not act on behalf of objectors.
VCAT appeals are only possible if a Council:
-Refuses a planning permit application.
-Imposes a permit condition that is unacceptable.
-Takes longer than 60 statutory days to determine an application.
Appeals can also be lodged by objectors against a Council decision to grant a permit.
